What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on the user's device during navigation, with functions ranging from simple session recognition to tracking behavior for advertising purposes. EU law (the ePrivacy Directive, implemented in Italy by the Privacy Code and by the Italian DPA Guidelines of 10 June 2021) requires the user's prior consent for the installation of cookies that are not strictly necessary for the technical operation of the site.

When a site installs no cookies or other identifiers, the law does not require obtaining consent — but in the interest of transparency it remains advisable to state it explicitly. This page serves exactly that purpose.

What this site does NOT do

• Does not install cookies of any kind (technical, session, analytics, profiling, third-party).
• Does not use localStorage or sessionStorage to store data on the visitor's device.
• Does not use web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Matomo, Plausible or similar.
• Does not use tracking pixels or social network scripts (Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, etc.).
• Does not embed third-party content that could install cookies on page load (video embeds, maps, chatbots, social widgets).

Fonts and external resources

The fonts used on the site (Syne, DM Mono, Inter Tight) are hosted directly on the sdk.srl domain and served alongside the rest of the site. No calls are made to third-party CDNs such as Google Fonts, fonts.gstatic.com, Bunny Fonts or any other external platform when the page loads.

This is a deliberate choice to avoid sharing the visitor's IP address with third-party services, and to ensure full GDPR compliance even in the absence of cookies.

Contact form security

The contact form on the home page uses an anti-spam rate-limiting mechanism that operates exclusively server-side. Upon submission, the script temporarily stores — in a system file on the server — a hash of the sender's IP address, which is overwritten or deleted after approximately 30 seconds.

This mechanism does not use cookies, does not place any file on the user's device, and does not act as a persistent identifier for the visitor. It falls within the Controller's legitimate interest in protecting its infrastructure from automated abuse, as described in the privacy policy.

Future changes

Should the site in the future integrate tools that involve the use of cookies or equivalent identifiers (e.g. analytics systems, embedded videos, interactive maps), this page will be updated and a prior consent mechanism will be activated, in compliance with the Italian DPA Guidelines of 10 June 2021.
